Mounting Heights for Medical Gas Products There's always the
question of "how high do I mount 'X' product?" The general rule of thumb is
to mount the item so a caregiver or other hospital personnel can reach the
product when needed but otherwise stay out of the way. In the case of a zone
valve box, or another item with a gauge, the gauge should easily be read
without the need of a ladder. But the tricky part is people come in all
different sizes! Typically, items are designed for a caregiver that is
approx 5' 6" tall, but exceptions can be made on a job by job basis.
